Prince George's County to map crimes in and around their neighborhood. He also

government.

The Maryland Court of Appeals rejected Early Voting for Marylanders in the September
12 primary. Today, Ahmed made it easier for those hardworking Marylanders to get an
absentee ballot through his website, www.shukoor.com. Said Ahmed, "We have to
harness the power of technology to make it easier for thousands of citizens across
to state to get their absentee ballot applications processed quickly. This is a
clear example of how we can use technology to promote democracy."

Ahmed's site www.shukoor.com also facilitates the search for polling places
locations. "People are busy and need timely access to information. We need to make
technology work for us, and sometimes it is the simple solution, not the most
expensive one that helps us the most," stated Ahmed.

Describing his vision of using technology to empower citizens, Shukoor said, "Among
Maryland's Delegates and State Senators not a single one has a background in
Information Technology. My business and technology background allows me to look at
alternative solutions from a fresh perspective. I am committed to making Maryland
the first among states in technology adoption."
